Hi! My name is Michele Marquez and I am the School Social Worker at Kenowa Hills High School and the Early Childhood Center. After graduating from Kenowa Hills myself, I earned my bachelor's degree from Samford University in Alabama and my master's degree from Portland State University in Oregon. I am bilingual in Spanish and in my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, decorating, photography, and most of all, spending time outdoors and traveling to new places!
Hello Parents :-) I am VIcki Jansma, social worker at the Middle School and Alpine Elementary. During my 30 years I have worked at almost every building and still love my job. My education is from GVSU and WMU. My goal with students is to help them remove whatever barriers (social, emotional, behavioral, etc) that interfere with doing their very best, and make a plan that works for them. I work with marvelous teachers and administrators. In my free time I enjoy quilting, singing in a folk group at church and being with my husband, son and daughter in law. This job is both my career and my "calling."
Hello--I'm Kathy Floch! I'm in my 24th year as a School Social Worker at Central Elementary and Zinser Elementary, having graduated from Grand Valley in 1991. I love working with children, teachers, and parents to help make students' social and emotional lives stronger and healthier. My years helping elementary children with their behavior challenges have brought much satisfaction! When I'm not working, I love trail running, traveling, working crossword puzzles, and gardening.
